Behind the Scenes…

Drew & Heather painting a wall muralDrew was commissioned by North Shore Systems to paint a 36′ wall scene of Pipeline, one of Drew’s favorite surf spots on the North Shore of Hawaii.  Heather Ritts, fellow San Clemente artist, is helping.  It should take about 5 days to paint.

Preparation:  Meeting with the owner & talking about what he wanted, then there was a series of sketches, and once the final sketch was approved, then the work on site began.  Day 1:  Prepping the wall (cleaning up any holes, smoothing out the surface, etc.)  (more…)

After successfully completing the first stage of the journey through southern California and the Pacific Coast of Northwestern Mexico, “Baby” is fired back up and ready to start the second leg of the tour. Seth Warren and his team designed their nature propelled renewable energy tour to follow the water cycle of the earth. The first part of this cycle started in the oceans with the currents, tides and waves being essential to fulfilling their hybrid lifestyle of educating kids about the importance of renewable energy, promoting sustainability and having fun playing in the surf.
