“<\/em>A long time ago I understood that I bear some responsibility for what I put out into the world.<\/em> “<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n POSCA LIFE CUSTOM<\/strong> did an interview <\/a>with me.<\/span><\/p>\n They referred to me as the “Godfather of Surf Art” – which is a huge compliment, but I don’t agree. \u00a0Many great artists in surf came before me; there’s a toss up between who could claim that title (Rick Griffin, Bill Ogden, etc.)<\/span><\/p>\n They asked very good questions, ones that I don’t usually get, like:<\/span><\/p>\n “I read somewhere that you weren’t into the Surf Industry Club…<\/em>” and “Do you think surf culture needs more artists?<\/em>” and “You have a lot of eyes on you…<\/em>“.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
