“When the Blue Star Kachina makes its appearance in the heavens, the Fifth World will emerge.” \u00a0Hopi Prophecy<\/em><\/h4>\n

These paintings are #21a and #21B of 50 in the #50Paintings series.<\/h4>\n

There were two people who tried to buy this painting at the same time. \u00a0The way this series works is this: \u00a0I sell the painting to the first who asks. \u00a0Often there are many who want the painting of the day. \u00a0But today, the 2nd person tried to buy it\u00a0only 2 seconds after the first, and she had attempted\u00a0to buy the last three paintings. \u00a0I couldn’t say no again.<\/p>\n

So I decided to paint a 2nd painting today, just for her. It’s a mirror image of the first. \u00a0There’s no waves today so I have the time. And it turned out to be really cool.<\/p>\n

TITLE: \u00a0RETURN OF THE BLUE STAR KACHINA<\/h4>\n

SIZE: \u00a08″x 10″ paint pen on Fredrix Pro Series Archival Canvas Board.<\/h4>\n

This painting was inspired by the Hopi legend of the return of the blue star kachina.<\/h3>\n

Last summer we took a road trip through the Four Corners Region (Lake Powell, Mesa Verde, Valley of the God, etc.) \u00a0A few years ago I\u00a0standup paddled the entire length of 225 miles through the Grand Canyon<\/a>. \u00a0I\u00a0 fell in love with the history and landscape of this area.<\/h3>\n

This region is home to the Hopi and Navajo Nations. \u00a0I saw many of their petroglyphs and ruins and I’m\u00a0\u00a0fascinated with their ancient art and legends. \u00a0Do a search of “Return of the Blue Star Kachina” and read about the prophesy.<\/h3>\n
