{"id":6778,"date":"2016-10-09T15:56:57","date_gmt":"2016-10-09T23:56:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/drewbrophy.com\/?p=6778"},"modified":"2016-10-09T15:56:57","modified_gmt":"2016-10-09T23:56:57","slug":"case-study-paint-surfboard-live-ibm-booth-vm-world-las-vegas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/drewbrophy.com\/case-study-paint-surfboard-live-ibm-booth-vm-world-las-vegas\/","title":{"rendered":"CASE STUDY:  Paint a surfboard LIVE in the IBM Booth at VM World Las Vegas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-6781 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/drewbrophy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/drew-brophy-painting-surfboard-for-IBM-at-VM-World-Las-Vegas-2016-200x200.jpg\" alt=\"drew-brophy-painting-surfboard-for-ibm-at-vm-world-las-vegas-2016\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" \/>CASE STUDY: Live Surfboard Painting in IBM booth at VM World<\/p>\n<p>WHEN: September 2016<\/p>\n<p>CLIENT: Delve Texas\u00a0(on behalf of IBM)<\/p>\n<p>MISSION: Generate interest and attract people to the IBM booth at VM World, in a unique manner.<\/p>\n<p>SCOPE OF WORK: \u00a0Create artwork in a tropical theme that illustrates\u00a0IBM&#8217;s cloud products and then paint it, LIVE, \u00a0in one day on a surfboard during VM World in Las Vegas. \u00a0The live painting was one part of a surfboard &#8220;exhibit&#8221; at the VM World booth, as decoration to enhance\u00a0their tropical theme.<\/p>\n<p>MEDIUM: \u00a0The entire painting was done using water-based paint pens, which are non-messy, have no smell and take up very little space.<\/p>\n<p>LIVE: \u00a0One great advantage to\u00a0a live painting event is that I can get the crowd involved. \u00a0I encouraged\u00a0many of the attendees t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-6783\" src=\"https:\/\/drewbrophy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Drew-Brophy-Curse-Mackey-Raleigh-Melancon-at-VM-World-IBM-Booth-Surfboards-600x600.jpg\" alt=\"drew-brophy-curse-mackey-raleigh-melancon-at-vm-world-ibm-booth-surfboards\" width=\"336\" height=\"336\" \/>o try out the paint pens on the surfboard. \u00a0It&#8217;s fun for them and creates a fun, relaxing atmosphere, which helps IBM people to connect with them as well. \u00a0It was a memorable day for many people there. \u00a0IBM was incredibly pleased, as was Delve Texas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CASE STUDY: Live Surfboard Painting in IBM booth at VM World WHEN: September 2016 CLIENT: Delve Texas\u00a0(on behalf of IBM) MISSION: Generate interest and attract people to the IBM booth at VM World, in a unique manner.
