This painting is #26 of 50 in the #50Paintings series.
SIZE: 11″x 14″ paint pen on Fredrix Pro Series Archival Canvas Board.
I had no idea what I was going to paint this morning. With this series, I’m not obsessing over what to paint. When an idea strikes, I go with it.
So I sat on the back patio, thinking about it. Maria peered through the door, asking me what I’m going to paint. Her hair was wet and the sun shone on her face.
Then I thought of the Blue Lagoon, being stranded on an island, and who and what I would want to have there with me. Someone I love, the ocean, my family. These are the things that inspire me the most.
*I’m making 20 signed, limited and numbered edition prints of each of the paintings in this series – if interested in getting a print of today’s painting, please email email@example.com or call 949-678-8133.
