FOR THE NEXT 20 DAYS, I’M CREATING 20 ORIGINAL ART PIECES that reflect my thought process and where my ideas originate from.  

I’m painting from the heart, just having fun with it.  You might love ’em, you might hate ’em, but either way, I hope they invoke a feeling for you.

Today’s Painting is the 6th of 20 in this #20×20 Series, titled NIGHT SCENE WITH COMET ISON,  6″ x 8″ on Canvas board, medium Paint Pens.

Every morning, during this #20×20 Series process, I begin the day thinking about what I’m going to paint, and what size canvas or board to paint on.   This one is the smallest size of the series so far.

I’m always surprised when people don’t know about Comet Ison.  It came from deep space  and it’s visiting our solar system for a brief period of time.

I’ve been watching it for the past year, as it passes all the planets.  Right now it’s traveling past Mars and is about to pass below earth, then towards the sun, where it will begin to be super-heated and emit a huge cloud of debris, which will be lit up by the sun, in late November.

Nobody knows for sure how bright Comet Ison will be, but some say that it will be the brightest thing anyone has ever seen in the sky, brighter than the full moon.

Imagine sitting on the beach with a bonfire, watching the brightest thing that man has ever seen in the sky!  These are the things that inspired the very thought of God…

Scientists say it’s clouds of dust may glow in a brilliant blue as we pass through the tail of it in late December.  What a show this might be!  I’ll be watching – will you?
