"How to Draw with Drew" Book Release Party!

Help us celebrate the release of our new book "How to Draw with Drew" published by Walter Foster. We'll have refreshments for adults and kids. Enjoy viewing the artwork that's featured in the book, including Drew's painting titled "Walter's Wave" and his painted Lost Board, Skateboard and Converse Shoes. Drew will be on hand to happily sign books! The books are priced at a very affordable $8.95. (If you've already bought one, come anyway and help us celebrate!) Our book signing and release party is open to the public. When: Saturday, March 26, 2010 from 4-7 p.m. Where: San Clemente Center for the Arts, San Clemente, CA.

The public has never been allowed into Surf Expo. But the Boards and Waves Expo welcomes all! Alongside some of the best surfboard shapers in the world, Drew will be giving seminars and paint demonstrations as well as exhibiting his artwork in an on-site booth SPECIAL FOR BOARDS AND WAVES ONLY: Drew will paint any board purchased at Boards & Waves right there at the show! (Painting prices range from $50 - $250 depending on the size/complexity of the painting.) We’ll also have a book signing for our newly released HOW TO DRAW WITH DREW book for groms. A Super Fun Event for parents and their Kids at Nordstrom's this spring! Celebrating and promoting Drew's new signature Converse line of chucks, Drew will be painting and signing Converse Shoes for kids at Nordstrom's locations this spring. All three of these events will have fun activities for all kids. There is also a raffle to give away a Drew Brophy goody-bag, including his new book and skateboards, to nine lucky winners! ART CLASS & BOOK SIGNING: All Registrants receive one free copy of Drew's HOW TO DRAW book! This fun, step-by-step drawing class is based on Drew’s book titled HOW TO DRAW WITH DREW BROPHY. The instructor will show kids how to draw some of Drew’s favorite fish characters, beach scenes and other elements like flames and custom lettering. Then they will tie all the elements together to create one fantastic painting. All registrants receive one free copy of the book and Drew will host a book signing at the end of the program.
