PAINTING STORY – SOLAR FLARE

Solar Flare Painting by Drew Brophy 18 x 24 Mixed Media on Canvas

SOLAR FLARE 18″ x 24″ on Canvas

This SOLAR FLARE painting was inspired by my love of the sun.  It’s mixed media on canvas, sized 18″ x 24″ using a combination of Createx paint and Uni Poscas.

I’ve had a life-long fascination with waves and the sun.

Many people don’t realize the power of the sun; that it is everything;  it gives us light, warmth and life.

I often wonder how solar wind affects our weather on a daily basis.   Sunspots can produce solar flares, directed at the earth, and have a huge impact on us.

Scientists even attribute solar flares to earthquakes, due to the fluctuation to the magnetic field.

I contemplate what kind of effects solar activity has on the waves we ride, and the intensity of the sunburn we get when surfing.

I have noticed more intensity in the sun, and I wonder if solar flares have something to do with it.  It seems as if the sun is releasing more energy; but it’s probably due to the fact that earth’s magnetic field is weakening, providing less protection.  The solar radiation is able to penetrate deeper to the surface of earth.

This change obviously affects our weather and our waves and how much sunburn our bodies get.  I wonder what other impact this solar wind has on us?

Almost all religions can be traced back to sun worship.  Why do you think that is?

If we call the Earth our Mother, then for sure the Sun is our Father.

The sun is our source of heat and light.  It is energy.  It is everything.

Life is Good,  Drew
