Ancient Wisdom Influences Modern Art
Drew Brophy’s fine art is inspired by his passionate study of mathematics, physics, ancient cultures and his belief that everything in the Universe is made up of light, vibration and energy.
The concepts explored in Brophy’s works are older than Genesis or Plato, older than Mayan or Egyptian cosmology: and are as current as the physics of fractals, quantum theory, and Einstein’s theories of light and time.
Brophy’s work is a visual representation of energy and how it works, impressing light, vibration and energy onto the canvas. His paintings illuminate how things work in the Universe, demonstrating a natural order in all things. He uses a variety of mediums, perfected after decades of practice, to bring out unique effects of color, light and energy in each piece.
Each painting tells a story of birth and expansion, from the smallest atom to the largest galaxy, utilizing sacred geometry, ancient symbols and mathematical equations.
Brophy’s intention is to allow his paintings to share the message that everything is energy and that we are all connected within our Universe.
