FEELING HAPPY Painting by Drew Brophy 18 x 24 Sept 2013 xFOR THE NEXT 20 DAYS, I’M CREATING 20 ORIGINAL ART PIECES that reflect my thought process and where my ideas originate from.    TODAY IS DAY 11!

I’m painting from the heart, just having fun with it.  You might love ’em, you might hate ’em, but either way, I hope they invoke a feeling for you.

Today’s Painting is the 11th of 20 in this #20×20 Series, titled FEELING HAPPY,  18″ x 24″ on Canvas.

This morning when I walked into my studio,  I turned on some music, and I was feeling happy.  I wasn’t sure yet what I was going to paint for the day.  Then I noticed among the mess in my painting room, a sketch on a canvas that I had started years ago.  I have a lot of those sketches laying around.

It was just a rough sketch in pencil, and everything in it was smiling; the sun, the mountains, the water, everything.  Since I was feeling so happy, I felt that these happy guys deserved to be brought to life today.

Hope they make you happy, too!
