I spent all day Sunday watching the Big Wave Jaws contest. Many of my friends were surfing in the event. Jaws is a place I’ve always wanted to surf.
Jaws is in Maui and it’s a heaving right tube that gets well over forty feet.
Yesterday they really pushed the limits of big wave surfing, once again. Guys were paddling into some of the biggest waves ever paddled into. It was exciting to watch.
This painting study is available – SOLD to Scott A of NV, a collector of my work that knows a good wave when he sees it.
