Welcome to my Studio!

WELCOME TO MY STUDIO!

I’m inviting you to an Open House and Art Exhibit at my Studio this weekend.

I’m excited to EXHIBIT my mural titled A LIFE WELL LIVED.  It’s painted on 18′ of Canvas.  You can see pictures, but they don’t come close to doing it justice.  You have to see it in person.

It’s the first painting I’ve done that I can proudly call a masterpiece.  A lot of work went into it.  It incorporates Drew Brophy Sacred Geometry painting at Conscious Life Expo 2015 Artelements from Sacred Geometry and Unified Field Theory info that I’ve been studying and am passionate about.  The meaning goes deep, you can read about it here.

The mural is going to it’s new owner, Keen Footwear, on Monday.  Come see it before it goes!  (And, I’m giving FREE posters of the mural to everyone who attends.)

DATE/TIME:  Saturday and Sunday April 25 and 25, 2015  From 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

LOCATION:  208 Calle de Los Molinos Suite D, San Clemente, CA 92672  Phone 949-678-8133

While you’re here, ask me about about Sacred Geometry Art and how drawing it helps one to connect to the Universe and transform their minds.  I’ll be stoked to share some of the new information I’ve been soaking up in my studies at the Resonance Academy.

Life is Good – Drew

Salt Creek by Drew Brophy 16 x 20 Painting Canvas Board Oct 2013 sFOR 20 DAYS, I’M CREATING 20 ORIGINAL ART PIECES that reflect my thought process and where my ideas originate from.

I’m painting from the heart, just having fun with it.

You might love ’em, you might hate ’em, but either way, I hope they invoke a feeling for you.

This Painting is #19 of 20 in this #20×20 Series, titled SALT CREEK , 16″ x 20″ on Canvas Board, medium Uni Poscas Paint Pens.

The inspiration for this painting came from a great surf session on Saturday.

I love the Fall season in California, because on some days we still get South swells and Santa Ana off-shore winds; the perfect combination for surfing.

This is precisely what happened this past weekend.  There was a beautiful, long period South swell.  The water was 70 degrees and not a cloud in the sky.

I imagined what it would be like to be at Salt Creek with just a few friends.  I surfed with my friend Justin and about 200 other people that I left out of the painting!

It was a great day.  Hope you like the painting.

Circle of Life on Canvas by Drew BrophyFor the past 6 years or so Drew’s been creating a new painting for the Ocean-Institute’s summer program flyers and t-shirts.  They’ll also use the art on huge banners (about 15′ x 20′) to hang on the side of their building every year.

The Ocean-Institute is an organization based out of Dana Point, Ca.  Their mission is to inspire all generations, through education, to become responsible stewards of our oceans.  Their vision is to be the world’s best experiential ocean educational organization.

Drew loves what the Ocean-Institute does to teach people, particularly kids, about the ocean and protecting our environment.  He really loves creating art for them every year.  And, working with the President, Bentley Cavazzi, is always a joy.  Bentley is one of those rare individuals that not only understands art, but also gives Drew a lot of leeway on the creative end of it.

This year Drew decided to paint a slightly different look.  Instead of the paint pens, he used a combination of spray paint and then airbrushing (for the background, to create an under-water effect) and then acrylic paints with brushes.

His goal was to create a soft, under-water circle of life without the hard edges, emanating somewhat of a subtle energy.  I think he pulled it off nicely.

The end result:  A 6′ x 4′ Acrylic on Canvas, beautiful, about to be framed, sold & hung!  (If you are interested in buying it, click here.)

We allow the Ocean-Institute use the artwork, but we keep the original.  So once we frame it, we’ll place it in an upcoming art exhibit that Drew will have at the Ocean-Institute, and make it available for purchase.
